St. Mary’s GAC held a presentation for its juvenile teams on Tuesday 19th January in the clubrooms at Dreen. Rasharkin senior footballer Cahir O’Kane came along to present the children with their medals & trophies.
Presentations were made on the night to the Rasharkin U10 Tournament Winners, Dunloy P6/ P7 winners 2014 & 2015, Liffre Tournament Winners, and the SW U14 Shield runners up. SW hurling skills feile winner Tiernan O’Boyle was also presented with his trophy.
Youth officer Cathal McMullan thanked all the coaches for taking our underage teams in 2015. He gave special praise to the parents of our underage players for encouraging their children to play our games and thanked the parents for all their efforts throughout the year in getting the players to and from training & matches.
Cathal told the young players assembled that he looked forward to seeing them at Dreen in 2016, and wished them continued success this year, but most importantly he encouraged them to enjoy themselves as much as possible while playing gaelic games.
Well done to all our 2015 underage teams.
