Aontroim Scor Sinsear final was held Sunday past at the wonderfully refurbished St.Clare’s Community Hall Glenavy. Naomh Mhuire Ros Earcain had entrants in Ceili Dancing and Question Time.
Only seven
clubs were represented at this years Scor - Cuchullians Dunloy and Con Magees
Glenravel representing
Congratulations
go to our Ceili Dancers who put in a good performance in first category but unfortunately
lost out to a very confident Con Magees team, well done to Laura O’Neill, Niamh
Kennedy, Amy O’Neill, Leona Hampson, Claire Hasson, Eimear Quigg, Shannon McLernon
and Michaela Quinn.
Joe
Crawford, Danny McLernon, Michael Hardy and Patrick Kennedy also did the club
proud and deserve credit for finishing runners up in Trath na gCeisteanna
(Question Time). The quartet amassed a very respectful 22 points but were pipped
at the post by a well seasoned Con Magees foursome.
Usually,
it wouldn’t be appropriate to single out one performance, but anyone in
attendance would agree the St.Mary’s Aghagallon Ballad Group landed a superb
performance and merit recognition, their talents are incredible and well worth
the entry fee alone!
Official

Rince Foirne (Ceili Dancing) – Con
Magees Glenravel
