Charity Ceílí at St.Mary's Rasharkin
8th April 2011
A Charity Céilí was held in St.Mary's Clubroom Dreen on Friday 8th April with all proceeds in aid of DEBRA Ireland. This Charity helps to develop improved treatments and find cures for children with Epidermolysis Bullosa (children with serious skin disorders).

This event was a massive success with Céilí dancers coming from far and wide to support and enjoy a great evening's entertainment and Céilí dancing.

Céílí organisers Eibhlin McMullan, Rosemary O'Mullan and Assumpta McGill are to be commended for their hard work and effort. A total of £283 was raised on the night.

Raymond Loney Céílí Band is to be acknowledged for his brilliant music.

Thanks also to all who provided the delicious supper, the fear an tí Francis Convery and St. Mary's GAC for the use of their premises.

Eibhlin and Rosemary helped Assumpta to organise the céilí as she and her daughter Jennifer are embarking on "The Kerry Challenge" to raise funds for DEBRA Ireland. This is a three day sponsored walk through the Kerry Mountains from 10th to 12th June.

Everyone wishes her and Jennifer Good Luck!
