Club Chairman Brian O'Neill opened the speeches by thanking everyone for turning up, he then invited Brenda Boyle (Nutritional Therapist and Fitness Coach) to give a talk. Brenda gave an enlightening speech on Nutrition and Hydration in Sport with the aid of overhead slides (see below).
Our very own hero Paul Doherty then took the floor; he gave an informative talk on core strength and stability for all, through home exercise. Paul outlined the importance of regular exercise and keeping a healthy lifestyle; he demonstrated simple daily exercises to help core strength and stability. Coaching Development Officer Liam Hardy then gave a discussion on various topics such as the clubs code of conduct, access NI checks, mentor training, child protection courses, first aid courses, parent involvement and coaching structures.
