Clubman scoops Sports Volunteer Award
11th June 2013

Congratulations to Paddy Kelly from St.Mary’s GAC Rasharkin who was presented regional winner in the Hughes Insurance Sports Volunteer Awards 2013.

The Hughes Insurance Sports Volunteer Awards is a national awards programme that aims to reward the unsung heroes of local sport in communities across Northern Ireland. The province-wide awards are focused through 12 Hughes Insurance branches, with a winner in each branch area; Paddy gets the accolade for the Coleraine district.

Well done to Paddy, whose dedication to St.Mary’s is incredible, he works tirelessly  for the club as Coaching and development officer but his duties far outreach this role. The reliable Under 14 football manager is the current Feilé Peil na nOg club administrator who proudly holds numerous coaching certificates which recently include a Level 3 Diploma course in management.

The successful local businessman is also an active and valued member in the club’s executive, development and finance committees, a man well deserving of this honour.
