GAA 125 - Club Quiz

To celebrate 125 years of the GAA the club are holding several
events through out this year, the first event was a GAA Quiz held last Friday
27th February at Mc Laughlin's Corner.
Fifteen teams competed in a very entertaining and well
organised quiz. Joe Crawford and Danny Mc Larnon our local experts were quiz
masters for the evening.
Thanks go to all Geals who attended especially from outside the club - Portglenone, Ballymena, Ahoghill, Loughguille, Glenravel and from further afield such as Ballinscreen, Glen Maghera and Pearses Belfast.
Congratulations to our winners Con Magees Glenravel on an almost flawless performance - Cormac O'Loan, Seamus McAleenan, Michael Mulholland and Noel Higgins who received commemorative GAA 125 medals.
Runners up were "Screen Stars" who pushed Con Magees all the
way - Patrick Kennedy, Patsy Kennedy, Joe Kerr and Dolores Scullion.
Local team "Against the Breeze" clinched third spot on the
podium - Charlie Mullaghan, Karol Doherty, Cahir O'Kane and Gemma Downey.
Special thanks go to Anthony Mc Mullan Chairman of the 125
committee for organising a very successful evening's entertainment and craic.
