St.Mary’s Rasharkin arrived at Slemish Park on Tuesday past with high spirits in a bid to progress to the County Minor "B” Final for the first time in recent years. This dual was always going to be an uphill battle for the young blue and amber hoops who looked to be on the ropes on a number of occasions, but showed great fighting spirit and determination throughout with a never say die attitude. They finally yielded to a strong skilful Tir na nOg challenge in the eighth minute of injury time unable to close a four point deficit. The Whitehill side entered this tie as bookies favourites to reach the county decider following their comprehensive demise of St.Mary’s in the league back in April, however, a gutsy performance from the Dreen men ensured the Randalstown side didn’t get things all their own way.
