Rasharkin Under 12 Footballers at Headquarters

Our under 12 footballers were lucky
enough to be invited to play during the half time interval of the Antrim and
Sligo Division Two game on Sunday 20th March. This was a great experience for
the young boys who will hopefully make a habit of playing at our county ground.
The team played very well against St.Joseph's Primary School Belfast with everyone enjoying the day.
This initiative is part of the "Sports for all" scheme which the GAA have supported; it encourages boys and girls for all backgrounds to come together through sport. Our very own hero and GAA Games and Development Coordinator Paul Doherty was instrumental in making this venture possible for St.Mary's, special thanks goes to him and PJ O'Hare the County Games Promotion Officer.
Well done to the Under 12 mentors for their hard work preparing the team for the day Dominic Kelly, Sharon Kearns, Paul McNally, Eamon McGarrell Paddy Kelly, Damian McFerran and Marian Doherty.
