St.Mary's hosts Finvoy YFC

St.Mary’s
Rasharkin hosted an evening with Finvoy Young Farmers Club at Dreen recently in
a two part exchange programme part of the North East PEACE III Community
Integration Project. A scheme which aims to help create new relationships and
explore diversity through increased knowledge and confidence of local people.
Members
of Finvoy YFC received a warm welcome from club chairman Michael Hardy followed
by a brief power point display of the formation and achievements throughout
St.Mary’s history to date. The visitors then took to the playing fields where
the boys tried their hand at Gaelic and hurling and the girls Camogie and
football under the guidance of some club coaches. The evening concluded with
refreshments as all agreed it was an excellent and worthwhile venture.
Finvoy
Young Farmers have returned an invitation to St.Mary’s to an evening in Finvoy
Presbyterian Church Hall later this month.
