St.Patrick's Primary School Rasharkin - All Star Awards - 2011
23rd June 2011
Pupils from St.Patrick's Primary
School Rasharkin took part in the Annual All Star Awards played at Dreen on
Thursday past. Four Gaelic Football teams were selected from Primary six and
Primary seven to compete against each other to determine ten All Stars. The
weather did hold up for much of the day, with thankfully only a few light
showers.
As usual, the standard was very high from all teams who displayed great football skills, determination and discipline throughout all games. The judges were given the impossible task of choosing ten worthy All Star recipients; however, after plenty of head scratching ten players got the nod.
Thanks go to the school principal Mr Noel McCann and Club Chairman Brian O'Neill for organising and facilitating this event. Special thanks go to Primary six teacher and vice principal Mr Terry McCann and Primary seven teacher Mrs Mary Rainey, along with classroom assistants Majella Henderson, Dyvonne Harris and Ann Johnson.
Every club knows the importance of strong school links for their future existence, we at St.Mary's are thankful for much work which goes in by many mentors and parents, especially Games Development Officer Liam Hardy along with club and school coaches Paul Doherty and Seamus Hasson.
