It is with deep regret and sadness we learn of the death of our Club President Tony McLernon.
Tony, a life long Gael, was instrumental in the formation of St.Mary’s GAC in 1943 and since had played a crucial role in the development of Gaelic games in the Parish of Rasharkin. The youngest of six brothers Tony gave tremendous service to St.Mary’s and always had a great love of our national games, particularly hurling were he managed and coached numerous teams down through the years, he was a hard working member in the club and on the executive committee before becoming Club President.
Tony’s funeral took place Thursday 20th March in St Mary’s Church Rasharkin.
